In the mixing of concrete, it should take measures to control the temperature of concrete, and control the added water by controlling the temperature of the concrete. Reduce the slump loss rate and plastic shrinkage cracking.  At this stage, the following measures could be taken:

(1)Reduce the amount of cement by using a water reducing agent or replacing the cement with fly ash. Meanwhile, increase the aggregate size in the case of permissible conditions of pouring.

(2)If the concrete mix requires a longer distance of transport,detergent can be used to control the setting time, but we should ensure that the amount of retarder is correct, especially for underwater concrete engineering.

(3)If a higher slump required, a superplasticizer should be used.  The high slump produced by some superplasticizers can be maintained for 2hous.The superplasticizer can also reduce the friction between the aggregate particles during the mixing process and slows the heat buildup in the mixing mixer.

(4)Sprinkle water into the aggregate stack to promote evaporative cooling to reduce the temperature of the concrete,  If wet with cold water (such as groundwater or well water), the cooling effect will be better, especially when the humidity is high.

(5)In the high temperature or humidity season to transport the concrete in long distance, you should consider the delay issue for transporting mixer to make sure it is still in a state of agitation when arriving the site.

(6)If it is possible, should plan to avoid pouring concrete at maximum daily temperatures. Under dry conditions, the concrete pouring in evening affected by the wind and the temperature is relatively reduced.

(7)In addition, adding water to adjust the provisions of the slump should in line with the design, not mixer the water in the construction site.
