Tips for using the remote control for concrete pump trucks
Release date: 2021-12-02
The boom of the pump truck is controlled by a remote wireless remote control system. It is also the core part of the entire electronic control system of the pump truck. Once the remote control system fails, the boom will not work normally. Even it comes with manual control function, but it can only be used for the recovery of the boom, and cannot be used for daily work.
Therefore, it is very important to ensure the normal operation of the remote control system of the pump truck. So today we’d like to share some tips on the use and daily maintenance of the remote control for concrete pump truck.
01Operation Notes
1. When controlling the movement of the boom, push the rocker evenly and do not push the rocker to the end at once, which will cause the boom to vibrate violently. At the same time, when the rocker is pushed to the limit position, the speed of the boom expansion or contraction controlled by it reaches the maximum value. If you keep pressing it, the working speed of the boom will not change anymore.
2. When the indicator light on the transmitter changes from green to red, it means that the battery is low and needs to be charged. Generally, the remote control is equipped with two batteries, one of which can be charged by the car charger as a spare when it is working.
3. The protection level of the receiver and the remote control are both IP65. To protect the transmitter system during operation in rainy weather, try to avoid excessive rain and store it dry.
4. Generally, the suction cup antenna is placed in the cab, and the remote control can also work normally. But when the control distance is increased, in order to prevent the remote control from dropping frequency, the suction cup antenna can be placed on the front of the cab to increase the signal reception rate.
5. If fixed frequency interference is encountered in special building areas (such as TV towers, radio towers, interference stations of military bases and other high-power wireless transmitters), the remote control system may not work due to interference. Wired control can be used (wired cables need to be purchased separately).
02Daily maintenance
1. After the concrete pump truck is finished working, the cement slurry and debris on the surface of the remote control should be removed to keep it clean and tidy, and the battery should be removed and fully charged for the next use. The battery should be placed in a dry and ventilated environment, not in the cab, which may cause the battery to explode due to high temperature.
2. Regularly check whether the rocker protective cover is cracked, and if any cracks are found, replace it in time to avoid muddy water from entering, causing internal short circuits and damaging the system motherboard.
3. When cleaning the body of the pump truck, it is strictly forbidden to flush the remote control system with a high-pressure water gun! It can be wiped with a damp cloth.
4. The battery should be charged when the red light is flashing, and it is strictly forbidden to charge at high temperature (the ambient temperature is too high, which will seriously affect the charging effect).
